Me and Mommy

Okay, you all win. Below are some photos, including one of just Joey and I. Albeit not a very good one. Sorry it's blurry, grandma was having camera issues. haha.

Mommy, Joey and Ian pose for the camera. Ian LOVES his baby cousin so much that we weren't allowed to take a picture without him at first. He loves to help feed and to "hold Joey". Ian's idea of holding him is having his hand on Joey's head. He's such a character.

And here it is...mommy and me. Maybe there will be a better one soon. I know grandma Suse took a good one this past weekend.

3 Weeks!

Baby joey is three weeks old today! Time is moving too quickly already. We played with some of the camera settings - taking black & white photos, "old fashion" photos and just normal, color ones. So, if you're wondering, he doesn't have jaundice, it's just mommy messing around with the camera - his coloring is perfect, naturally :)

The Outfit that Dad Wore

This is the outfit that daddy - big Joey - wore home from the hospital! While in one of the photos baby Joe looks less than thrilled about wearing it, it is very cool to be able to wear an outift that daddy wore...

Three Generations

Three generations of Joseph Glen Hudsons together at once. How cute. The original Joe (baby Joey's great grandpa Hudson) lives far away from us and couldn't attend the JGH photo session. He'll have to be photo shopped in, I guess. :)

Great grandpa goes by Joe
Grandpa goes by Glen
Daddy is Joey
and baby is, of course, Joey or Joe or Joe-Joe or just cutest baby ever!

On the Road Again...

Since we've gotten home from the hospital, Joey has spent much of his time in the position seen in the photos below... in his carseat. poor little peanut. He's a trooper and doesn't get mad when placed in the seat (thank goodness). However, he did tell the doctor yesterday that he's tired of coming in daily. We received the best news yesterday - mommy is all clear and we don't have to go in daily any longer for doctor checks!

Say goodbye carseat for a little bit, we'll be home relaxing!

My First Professional Photo!

You can take a peek at Joey's first professional photo, taken at the hospital, by visiting http://www.growingfamily.com/webnursery/babypage.asp?UrlID=7V9H1K5M7O. (this tricky website doesn't allow you to copy/paste the photo)

He's so very cute with his little lips pursed!

What to do on a rainy day...

What to do? Sleep of course (as opposed to what Joey does on a sunny day!)

Two Weeks...Too Cute

Joey is two weeks old, and although we thought it not possible, he's getting cuter by the day!

Happy Father's Day!

We celebrated our first father's day by having a big sleepover with daddy at Grandma & Grandpa Hudson's. What an exciting weekend!

Labor vs Root Canal - The Verdict

Labor! Hands down, no questions - LABOR! As if there was ever any doubt. How quickly we forget the pain of contractions though when the little man is in our arms.

We do have a new very painful ailment to add to the list though - mommy's c-section incision is infected. I've had to go to the doctor daily this week to have it dressed and looked at. Not sure if it's doing well or not, might know more after today's appointment....so keep your fingers crossed.

1st Check-up

"hmmmm....I've been thinking about how mom and dad say I'm the cutest baby
ever...and I think I may just agree with them."

Today was 1 week check-up day! Joey is back up to his original birth weight of 7 pounds, 5 ounces. He also now measures at 21 inches long - a whole inch longer than when he was born (perhaps because he was so scrunched up and still stretching the first time measured. I'm not sure you really grow 1 inch in a week, but I'm no doctor). Way to grow, Joe. Everything looked perfect with him, of course!

1 Week Old

Today Joey turns one whole week, and he's still too cute for words...I couldn't get him to show off those dimples during picture time again today, but they'll be back!

Rubber Ducky You're the One...

Bath Time! Joey had his first bath just moments after emerging into the world last Monday, obviously. Grandma Suse was able to get some good pictures of him getting spiffed up on his birthday.

On Sunday, Joey had his first at-home bath, in preparation of the many visitors that came a-knocking. He did very, very well. Didn't even cry, much to the surprise of mommy and disappointment of aunt Shelby. Ian was quite the bathtime cryer. Haha. All in due time, I'm sure.

Just me & daddy

It's male bonding - Joey style. How cute is that?

wondering why there are no pictures of mommy? it's because mom has banned cameras from her for now. don't worry, we do have photos of me with him right after he was born, but they won't be going up on the wonderful world wide web.

Joey and the Visitors

Here's just a few photos of Joey with some of his visitors:

Joey and great-grandma Stanton (doesn't she look fabulous for 89 years young?)

Joey with his older cousins, Alex and Mackenzie

4 Days Old!

Hey, look at me, I'm four days old, awake for more than 10 minutes and cute as can be!
