Joey and the Cousins

Sice baby Joey lives with Ian, he spends time playing with him every day. But he also gets to spend plenty of time with his other cousins too. This week he's seen them lots because uncle Chris is back to school. He has lots of smiles and fun with all of his cousins!

Hanging On

While hanging out and playing, Joey is hanging on...to toys, that is! Yes, our little genius figured out how to get a grip on his toys a few weeks ago, and has been playing away ever since.

As you can see, sometimes he plays so hard that you can barely see the toy, and other times (as you can see from the crying picture), it's not always fun and games.

Just Chillin'

Baby Joey spends much of his day (that is when he's not eating or sleeping in mommy's arms) just laying on the floor kicking like crazy or looking at his happy hippo or just chillin' in his chair. Unlike many babies, he is up a lot during the day because he sleeps 12 hours (yes, that's stright through)at night, most nights it's 8-8! It doesn't get any better than that. God Bless him! He's a very content baby that truly doesn't generally fuss, just hangs out and smiles a lot.

A Little Man...

Joey was stylish sporting his polo shirt and plaid shorts the other weekend; he looked just like a mini-daddy. It's so fun to play dress-up (although he wasn't as impressed with the game and wouldn't sit still for too long. Sorry the pictures are fuzzy)

Tummy Time!

or is that a tummy time-out? Just like most babies, Joey is okay with tummy time only for a short while, then he gets fighting mad! We still make him do it in order to strengthen his neck though (I know, mean mommy!)

2 Months Old!

Joey is 2 months old and growing like a champ! He got a clean bill of health at his two month check-up, and sadly a set of shots too. Whaaaaaaaaaaa! I think it was harder on mommy than baby! Some of his vital, growing stats:

• 90th percentile of height at 24 1/2 inches long
• 35th percentile of weight at 10 pounds 12 ounces
• 100th percentile of cuteness - no baby cuter!

We have a long, skinny, beautiful baby!

See, we weren't kidding about being a major Twins fan already :)

We're Gonna Win Twins...

We're gonna score...

Joey cheers on the Twins - and that other Big Joe...Mauer - every night with mommy and grandpa (and sometimes aunt Shelby and even grandma). As we try hard to chase Detroit, and things heat up in the wild card race (Yankees, Sox, who?), Joey makes sure to wear his Twins gear while cheering them on!

Someday, he plans to wear the real uniform and be on the cover of Sports Illustrated like the other Joe too, but for now this jersey from uncle Jeff will do :)
