Busy Baby!

In the past couple of weeks, Joey has had many new adventures, including Halloween (which I think we've seen enough of), meeting 2 more of his great aunts and trying rice cereal for the first time!  It's very exciting to be baby Joey!

Halloween Redo!

Mommy fixed her camera problems (read: operator error due to a photographically challenged mother), and we got some clear photos of Baby J as SuperJoey.  Hooray for Xcel Aunt Cheryl for pointing out to mommy how to use a camera!

Highchair Fun!

Joey is getting to be so big, he's sitting in his highchair! While he still is only eating bottles, we will start him on some cereal in the next few weeks. To get him used to the chair, he sits in it sometimes while we eat. Such a big boy!

On our way to grandpa's farm

Joey recently (before today's snowfall) had his first ride on grandpa's lawnmower. Really, we're not that big of hicks - we don't actually live on a farm with animals - but it is a right of passage for all the grandchildren to mow the lawn with grandpa :)

Go Vikings (and happy b-day daddy)!

Daddy's birthday was on Sunday - but we couldn't get anything to post until now - so, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, DADDY!

We celebrated with cake and ice cream on Saturday, as big Joey went to cheer the Vikings on to victory on his birthday. Baby Joey was with him in spirit on Sunday, hanging out with grandma and grandpa Hudson in his Vikes attire! We are VERY sad that the Twins season is over, but happy to cheer on our football team.

Adventures in babysitting

Mommy went back to work this week (whaaaaaaaaaaa) and baby Joey started daycare un-phased. We're happy to report that he has been smiling and very happy all day and night. Wish we could say the same for mom back at work or dad at school!

Below are some very cute pictures taken by aunt Alison when she was home, including, perhaps the cutest pic ever with his huge brown eyes, him celebrating Alison's birthday, and him in his "comfort zone" as he sucks his thumb/fingers.

3 Months

Baby Joey turned three months old last week! He celebrated at Jesse James Days in Northfield. He may be a bit too young to understand, but he was a little overwhelmed with all the activities. Maybe next year he'll be up for going on rides and everything :)

Today, baby J wore a red jogging suit that was Ian's (and was always a favorite of ours). When Ian came home from daycare and saw him, he declared that Joey "looked like Christmas" and has been calling him Santa Claus! silly boy...

Joey and the Cousins

Sice baby Joey lives with Ian, he spends time playing with him every day. But he also gets to spend plenty of time with his other cousins too. This week he's seen them lots because uncle Chris is back to school. He has lots of smiles and fun with all of his cousins!

Hanging On

While hanging out and playing, Joey is hanging on...to toys, that is! Yes, our little genius figured out how to get a grip on his toys a few weeks ago, and has been playing away ever since.

As you can see, sometimes he plays so hard that you can barely see the toy, and other times (as you can see from the crying picture), it's not always fun and games.
